As a child, my dream was always to work with animals, whether that be large or small.
I started working at the age of 14 at a boarding kennels and grooming parlour, where I would spend plenty of weekends and school holidays helping out. My part time job list did not end there….I also groomed for a polo player, helped out at a local horse competition venue, milked cows on a dairy farm, and looked after friend's pets when they went on holiday. All this whilst also studying full time.
In 2016, I began a BSc (Hons) course in Equine Science at Reaseheath College, which enabled me to further my passion for horses and widen my knowledge. Here I became interested in injury and rehabilitation and with some research found the MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy course at Harper Adams University.
In July 2019, shortly after graduating with a first-class honour’s degree in Equine Science, I began my veterinary physiotherapy journey at Harper Adams. In order to give myself the best possible chance of succeeding and dedicating myself fully to the course, I decided to settle with 1 job as a veterinary care assistant in a small animal hospital to enable me to focus on studying.
3 years later, having qualified with a PgD and MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy, I am excited to see what the future holds for my business.
